Read 1st and/or 2nd Readings
Read the Prayers of the Faithful – Petitions (when no Deacon present)

Mass Servers

Assist Priest and Deacon throughout the Mass

Help the entire community celebrate the liturgy
Integral to the celebration of the Mass
(Saturday/Sunday, weekdays, and funerals)
Attend to the action and flow of the Mass
Can be students (grade 3 and up) or adults
Are trained and prepared by the Priest or other parish leader

Ushers

Assist in seating as required
Direct the passing of baskets
Direct the procession of gifts
Direct the communion procession
Distribute bulletins after mass
